NEW YORK, OCTOBER 10 – The Italian Permanent representative of Italy to the United Nations, Ambassador Maurizio Massari, met today with Carlo Jacobucci, Italy’s candidate for a three years mandate 2023-2025 to the Advisory Committee on Administrative and Budgetary Questions (ACABC). If elected, Jacobucci will foster transparency and accountability across the UN system, ensuring impactful and result-driven use of the resources for an effective multilateralism, the Italian Mission said on Twitter.
Currently based in Brasilia, Jacobucci coordinates the consular network in Brazil. The Advisory Committee is an expert Committee of twenty-one Members elected by the General Assembly for a period of three years, on the basis of a broad geographical representation. Members serve in a personal capacity and not as representatives of Member States. The Committee holds three sessions a year with total meeting time between nine and ten months per year. The Chairman and Vice-Chairman of the Committee are elected by the Members of the Advisory Committee. (@OnuItalia)
