NEW YORK, JUNE 25 – Addressing the third 2021 meeting of the Group of Friends of Food Security and Nutrition, Italy recalled how its G20 Presidency has asked to prioritize food security in COVID19 response and reaffirmed its commitment to a successful Foods Systems Pre-Summit which will take place in Rome next July.
The Group of Friends met today to discuss the road ahead and linkages between food security and climate change. Ambassador Stefano Stefanile, the Italian Deputy Permanent Representative to the UN in New York addressed the meeting, which was open to all UN Member States. (@OnuItalia)
