ROME, MAY 17 – Over five thousand companies are part of the UN procurement system but they are non actively engaged. “We want to improve the capacity of Italian companies to offer world-renowned quality goods & services to the United Nation’s system. We want to make sure that both their expertise and technology are widely known for the benefit of the UN”, the Italian Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Emanuela del Re said today at Exco 2019, the international cooperation fair in Rome.
“We need to improve this contribution, so that there is more attention to sectors in which our companies are stronger, such as emergency, infrastructures, agro-business”, said Del Re. “All these sectors should be part of an integrated system. Clearly, private sector, international cooperation and the United Nations are an absolutely winning mix”. (@OnuItalia)
