NEW YORK, DECEMBER 6 – Italy accomplished another important recognition on the international stage. The Assembly of States Parties (ASP) of the International Criminal Court, convened in New York from December 4 to 14, has elected Italy by acclamation as a member of the Assembly’s Bureau for the triennium 2024-2026.
Also elected were States Parties for the Western European and Others Group (Belgium, Finland, New Zealand, and Switzerland), the African Group (Kenya, Senegal, Sierra Leone, South Africa, Uganda), the Latin American Group (Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Ecuador), the Asia-Pacific Group (Cyprus, Japan, South Korea), and the Eastern European Group (Bosnia and Herzegovina, Latvia, Poland, Slovenia). The President (Finland) and the Vice Presidents of the Assembly (Poland and Sierra Leone) were also elected. (@OnuItalia)
