UNECE: Giampiero Bambagioni re-elected to Committee on Urban Development

GENEVA, OCTOBER 8 – Dr. Giampiero Bambagioni was re-elected as member of the UNECE Committee on Urban Development, Housing and Land Management (CUDHLM). Italy supports UNECE’s standards on housing, the Italian permanent Mission to the Onternational Organizations in Geneva said on Twitter.

Bambagioni is Property Economist, University Lecturer of Evaluation of programmes and projects and Real Estate Finance in Master Courses (University of Rome “La Sapienza” and Perugia University), Expert in Housing and Land Management including Smart Cities Policies.

He is Head of Scientific and International Activities of Tecnoborsa as well as economic advisor for some relevant public and private Organizations at Italian and international level on the issues of the development, Housing and land management and economic policies, Valorization of public assets, appraisal and real estate finance, REITs, Non performing loans (NPLs).

He is cooperating with UNECE since 2001. Member of the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE) Real Estate Market Advisory Group (REM), since its constitution on 2008. He is also author and co-author several scientific essays and articles, and scientific coordinator of research projects. Under his leadership has been elaborated – with the involvement of an international Task Force – the UNECE REM Policy Framework for Sustainable Real Estate Markets: Principles and guidance for the development of a country’s real estate sector (2010).

Bambagioni holds a MSc in Economics; he obtained a Master in Business Administration (MBA). He has attended specialization Courses at the SDA Bocconi University (Milan) and from the Polytechnic University of Milano, Italy. He holds a Diploma in “European Public Management and Economic Policy” from Scuola Nazionale dell’Amministrazione (SNA) under the Presidency of the Council of Ministers (Italy).
