LONDON, JUNE 21 – Antonio Tajani, Italy’s Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, has chosen Davide La Cecilia as a Special Representative for the reconstruction of Ukraine, it was announced in London, during the Ukraine Recovery Conference.
La Cecilia, 62, an experienced diplomat and a former Ambassador to Kyiv, graduated in Political Sciences and joined the Italian Foreign Service in February 1989. He has held various positions within the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, serving as Consul General in Jerusalem, and holding posts in Tel Aviv, Tokyo, London, Hong Kong. In 2016,
La Cecilia was appointed ambassador to Kyiv, Ukraine, where he served until 2021. After serving as the diplomatic advisor to the Minister of Health, he returned to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in November of 2022. (@OnuItalia)
