NEW YORK, JUNE 28 – The Italian Permanent Representative to the United Nations in New York, Ambassador Maurizio Massari, had a “very productive” meeting with a European Parliament delegation in New York.
“Global action for the Sustainable Development Goals at times of crises and the need to strengthen multilateral cooperation were among the topics touched during the talks”, the Italian Mission said on Twitter. Massari was also pleased to provide updates on the “intense negotiations” for the upcoming High Level Political Forum Ministerial Declaration, to be adopted in July in New York.
Other points of discussion were the Covid-19 recovery, the war in Ukraine and the SDGs under review on education, gender equality, life below water and on land, said Udo Bullmann, of the Socialists and Democrats Group in the European Parliament, attending the meeting. (@OnuItalia)
