BERGAMO, MAY 31 – UNIDO ITPO Italy supported an Iraqi business delegation to participate in the 2022 edition of IVS – Industrial Valve Summit, held from 25th to 26th May in Bergamo, Italy.
The 10 Iraqi operators – assisted by UNIDO ITPO Italy Investment Promotion Expert Mr. Andrea Carapellese and UNIDO National Coordinator for Iraq Mr. Abdulhadi Al Hatem – were mainly interested in valves, valve joints and fitting tools, and had also the opportunity to discover innovative technologies in terms of heat exchangers, types of steel, automatized controls and auto-adjustment technologies during the 65 B2B meetings with local exhibitors organized and facilitated by UNIDO ITPO Italy.
This initiative, as a part of the project “Investment Promotion for Iraq – Phase II” (#IPI) funded by the Italian Agency for Development Cooperation and implemented by UNIDO, was made possible thanks to the fruitful collaboration with the IVS organizers Confindustria Bergamo and Promoberg – Fiera di Bergamo. Within the framework of the fair, UNIDO ITPO Italy and the Iraqi business delegation also met with the newly-appointed President of Confindustria Bergamo Ms. Giovanna Ricuperati, and the President of Promoberg Mr. Fabio Sannino, strengthening further synergies for potential future activities.
