GENEVA, SEPTEMBER 2 – Italy gains positions in the 2020 The World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) Global Innovation Index (IGI). In this year ranking, Italy is at the 28th position, two positions ahead of the previous year and three compared to 2018.
The Italian strengths have been indicated in Infrastructures and Knowledge/Technology outputs. The Index is published annually by WIPO since 2011, in collaboration with the SC Johnson School of Business of Cornell University and the Institut européen d’administration des affaires (INSEAD), using 80 parameters of analysis.
