UNSSC signs training cooperation agreement with Italian Army

TURIN, JUNE 27 – Jafar Javan, UNSSC Director, and General Pietro Serino, Italian Army representative and Commander of the Comando per la Formazione, have signed an agreement establishing bilateral cooperation between UNSSC and the Italian Army in the field of advanced training.
UNSSC will provide a significant variety of advanced training programs to Italian Army personnel deployed in modern operational settings. The courses will focus on the subjects of Peace and Security, Peacekeeping and Post-Conflict Management.

This cooperation is a response to the rapid and continuing changes occurring on the international scene and the many crises arising in different parts of the world. These crises require specific interventions on the part of the international community including a military presence capable of managing crises and rebuilding institutional structures. UNSSC commits to provide the Italian Army with the tools and knowledge to manage crisis scenarios and ensure security and development. (@OnuItalia)
