SHAMA, MARCH 20 – The Italian contingent in UNIFIL donated a prefabricated room to Bint Jbeil Public Hospital, to be used for receiving and checking suspected cases of the new Coronavirus without entering the hospital’s emergency room. “Italy and Lebanon united in solidarity”, the Italian Embassy in Beirut tweeted today.
In view of the virus emergency, UNIFIL marked the 42nd anniversary of its establishment with limited attendance as a precaution for preventing the spread of COVID-19. Despite the difficult situation due to the outbreak, UNIFIL continues to conduct operational activities along the Blue Line. (@OnuItalia)
