VIENNA, SEPTEMBER 11 – Addressing the quarterly IAEA’s Board of Governors, Italy expressed “deep concern” for the difficulties the Iran nuclear agreement is experiencing and called on all Countries to support the JCPoA’s full implementation.
“It is crucial that Iran fully respects its commitments under JCPoA and safeguards agreement, the Italian Permanent representative to the United Nations in Vienna, Maria Assunta Accili said today.
The U.N. nuclear watchdog told Iran on Monday there is no time to waste in answering its questions, which diplomats say include how traces of uranium were found at a site that was not declared to the agency. “Time is of the essence,” Cornel Feruta, who took over as IAEA chief in an acting capacity after the death of his boss Yukiya Amano in July, told a news conference during a quarterly IAEA Board of Governors meeting.
The IAEA and AIPnD (Italian Society for non-Destructive Testing Monitoring Diagnostics) have signed have signed a practical arrangement through which Italy expertise and industry will be able to offer their contribution to the Agency’s work in the field of NDT.
AIPnD (Italian Society for non-Destructive Testing Monitoring Diagnostics) is a nonprofit corporation established in May 1979 in Brescia, Italy by 12 experts in the NDT field. As one of the first associations in this field, it currently numbers among its Members subjects coming from more than 1.000 organizations: local and national Institutions and Services, Research Centers, professional Schools and Practices and Companies producing and selling NDT equipment and products.
