NEW YORK/ROME, SEPTEMBER 22 – The Italian Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte had a conversation tonight via VTC with the Secretary General of the United Nations, Antonio Guterres, at the occasion of the inauguration of the General Debate of the 75th Session of the UN General Assembly.
The agenda was focused on the main global issues and on the importance of multilateral cooperation to tackle the socio-economic effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, especially for the benefit of the least developed Countries.
Prime Minister Conte recalled the important international events led by Italy in 2021: the Italian G20 Presidency, the partnership with Great Britain for COP26 and the co-hosting of the Global Health Summit together with the European Commission in 2021.
